Please find below resources regarding the post Covid return to school including the Recovery Plan and Risk Assessment.
If your child, or someone in your household, has any of the three main Covid symptoms: a cough, a temperature, and/or loss of taste or smell, then you must book a PCR Covid test, and everyone in the household must isolate until the result is received - this is usually within 24 hours. It is important to note that, for anyone with these symptoms, you must not use the Lateral Flow home testing kits – these are for symptom less twice-weekly testing of secondary age pupils and adults only.
We have also received the following recommended guidance, though this is not a statutory requirement:
Recently people have also been testing positive with a wider set of symptoms:
· a persistent headache
· fever and chills
· shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
· muscle or body aches
· sore throat
· congestion or runny nose
· nausea or vomiting
If you have any of these wider symptoms, you should get a test and isolate until the result is received. If your result is positive, you and your close contacts must self-isolate.
The test booking system will ask why you are booking a test. When you book a test for any of these wider symptoms, you should choose the 'you’ve been asked to get a test by a local council' option.
